The Roster page (sidebar → Roster) is where you manage everyone connected to the tour. It's organized into three sections, each with a different purpose.
Management & Admins
People who manage BandBrain itself. These are the folks who:
- Have dashboard logins (Clerk org admin/member)
- Send broadcasts
- Connect/disconnect integrations
- Edit roster permissions
A person lands here when EITHER:
- They're a Clerk organization member (admin invite accepted), OR
- They have
Full Accesstoggled on their roster row
Artist, Band & Crew
The touring core — band members, production crew, merch, finance, security, etc. They use BandBrain over SMS / email and don't need a dashboard login.
Each crew row has:
- Role (touring_musician, production_crew, merch, etc.) — drives default category permissions
- Phone (for SMS) + email
- Allowed categories — what kinds of tour data they can read via the bot (production, finance, hospitality, etc.)
External Contacts
A CRM-style directory of people the band works with but who don't use BandBrain themselves: promoters, venue staff, label/PR/agent reps, vendors. They show up when the agent answers questions like "who's the production manager at the Wiltern?" — but they never receive comms or get tour data routed to them.
Categories: venue, promoter, agent, pr, label, manager, vendor, other.
See Contact Directory.
