If your merch table takes payment with Square, connecting it lets BandBrain answer "how'd merch do tonight?", "what's running low?", and "what's our $/head this leg?" — by text, email, or the dashboard.
Connecting
- Go to /dashboard/connectors
- Find Square → click Connect
- Sign in with the Square account your merch table uses and click Allow
- You land back on BandBrain with Square showing as Connected
BandBrain asks for read-only access to your sales, items, inventory, and payments. It can't take payments, issue refunds, change prices, or edit your catalog.
Right after you connect, BandBrain pulls the last year of sales. After that it checks for new sales every 15 minutes on its own — there's nothing to refresh.
How sales are matched to shows
Each sale is matched to a show using that day's city from your day sheets. A show day runs 4 AM to 4 AM in the show's local time, so sales after midnight (late merch line, load-out) count toward that night's show — the same way "tonight" works everywhere else in BandBrain.
If a day sheet's city or date changes, the matching updates automatically.
Who can see it
Merch revenue is finance data, so these questions are admin / Full Access only. Grant Full Access from /dashboard/roster.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect next to Square on the connectors page. BandBrain revokes its access at Square. Sales already synced stay in BandBrain's reports; nothing new comes in.
See Merch reports and $/head for what you can ask.
