You don't have to be at the dashboard to send a broadcast. Text the BandBrain number and the agent handles it.
Example
You text BandBrain:
"text everyone the hotel info for tonight"
The agent:
- Calls
find_todayto look up tonight's hotel from your day_facts - Composes the message body
- Calls
preview_comm_audienceto figure out who'd get it - Texts you back with the preview: "I'll text 12 people — Jordan, Sam, Riley, +9 others. Body: 'Tonight at Spark by Hilton Bensalem, 3499 Street Rd, Bensalem PA 19020'. OK to send?"
- You reply "yes" or "go"
- The agent fires the actual send and confirms when done
What you can say
The agent understands natural language. Examples:
- "Text everyone the load-in is at 3pm"
- "Email the production crew the venue parking note"
- "Send a test to just me saying 'agent test ok'"
- "Email everyone tomorrow's daysheet link"
- "Text the band the hotel + tomorrow's van call"
Two-phase confirm
The agent ALWAYS shows you the preview first. No accidental sends. You have to explicitly confirm (reply yes/go/send/ok) before it fires.
Admin gate
Comms tools are admin-only. If a non-admin (someone without Full Access on their roster row) texts "send a broadcast", they get a clean refusal: "Refused: this action requires Full Access on your roster permissions. Ask the tour manager to grant it."
Scheduled vs one-off
This article is about one-off comms. For recurring ("send the daysheet every morning at 6am"), see Creating an automation.
