You can send the BandBrain agent a voice note over SMS (as MMS). The agent transcribes it and answers like any other question.
How to send one
SMS (MMS audio)
- Open a text to your band's BandBrain number
- Hold the microphone icon, record, send
- The agent transcribes and answers
What gets transcribed
Anything intelligible. Background noise is filtered as best it can. If the audio is too garbled, the agent texts you back: "I couldn't make out the audio — mind typing it or re-recording?"
Multiple audio + typed text
You can send a typed message AND attach a voice note to the same message. The agent transcribes the voice + combines with your typed text and answers the whole thing.
What it's good for
- Hands busy at load-in
- Long questions that are faster to speak than type
- On a noisy bus where typing is awkward
What it WON'T do
The agent doesn't reply with voice — replies always come back as text. If you specifically need an audible response, a screenreader on your phone does that downstream.
